While this can be charming for a short time, as my advice, a 5-day discovery is enough for this area.

Vietnam has a wealth of diverse destinations to discover. After spending time in the Mekong Delta, you can extend your trip to other regions, such as the stunning beaches, majestic northern mountains, or nearby destinations in Cambodia.

3.6. Where to go next after the Mekong Delta trip?

After exploring the Mekong Delta, both Cambodia and Phu Quoc Island offer exciting extensions to your trip, each with distinct appeals.

Phu Quoc Island 

If you crave relaxation on idyllic beaches, want to enjoy water activities and nature excursions or merely prefer a more laid-back island atmosphere, Phu Quoc is a perfect choice. This tropical paradise offers opportunities for snorkeling, diving, hiking, and simply unwinding on its stunning shores. From December to February, witness the stunning spectacle of blooming flowers throughout the Delta, adding vibrant colors to the landscape.
