1/ From Ninh Binh to Phong Nha by bus

Ninh Binh is on the way from Hanoi to Phong Nha. Tourists could choose a bus or train to get to Phong Nha. However, most of buses from Ninh Binh will drop off passengers in Dong Hoi City and only few buses stop in Phong Nha town. So It is necessary to find out carefully the information before booking.

• Departure time: Normally from 16.00 – 21.30

2/ From Ninh Binh to Phong Nha by train

The train will run through most of the coastal provinces in Vietnam and, travelling by train is a great experience. If you choose a night train, book a soft sleeper ( 4 beds in 1 cabin) for the comfortable trip. The train will arrive in Dong Hoi railway station and you still need a transfer from Dong Hoi city to Phong Nha town. Night trail is a good choice for those who save 1 night on train and that will not miss any daily activities. For foreign tourists, the best ones are SE3 at 19.30 and SE1 at 22.15.

3/ From Ninh Binh to Phong Nha by air plane

if it is too long to seat on bus or train, tourist could choose a flight from Ninh Binh to Phong Nha. However, there is no airport in Ninh Binh so tourtist must come back to Hanoi for flight to Dong Hoi.
Every day, there are 2-3 round trip flights from Hanoi to Phong Nha. Passenger should check on the website of Vietnam airlines and Bamboo airways in advance to make sure to book the flight as plan. If not, we recommend taking train or bus for your travel plan.
