1. An Introduction to Phu Quoc National Park
Phu Quoc National Park is located in Phu Quoc Island, Kien Giang province, about 13km northeast of the city center. This place has an area of up to 314.2 km2 spread across many of Phu Quoc’s famous tourist attractions.

2. What does Phu Quoc National Park have?
Like other famous names such as Phong Nha-Ke Bang, Cat Ba National Park, Cuc Phuong or Nam Cat Tien, Phu Quoc National Park also possesses a diverse and rich flora and fauna, beautiful mountain and forest landscapes, waterfalls, and many other interesting activities.
2.1. The rich flora and fauna
As one of the biodiversity centers of the country, Phu Quoc National Park is known for its extremely rich flora and fauna. Phu Quoc National Park's ecosystem converges all types of terrain: mountains, forests, streams, seas, and waterfalls.
The vegetation of Phu Quoc primeval forest is extremely diverse, including many layers. There are many types of precious perennial wood such as chestnut, sand oil, cajuput, venereal, etc. Besides, there are thousands of precious orchid species; many types of medicinal plants such as multiflora, and licorice; parasitic species such as ferns, white cotton vines, etc.
The fauna here is equally diverse. There are up to 30 species of mammals, 50 species of reptiles, and 200 species of birds. Among them, 5 species of mammals, 9 species of reptiles, and 4 species of birds are included in the Vietnam Red List.
In addition, the marine ecosystem here also possesses a rich quantity of 20 species of soft coral, 100 species of hard coral, and 62 species of seaweed, along with many other types of fish.
2.2. The season of begonias and purple rose myrtle
Phu Quoc primeval forest is home to many plant species, including many beautiful blooming plants such as begonias and purple myrtle flowers. Touring Phu Quoc National Park, visitors will encounter flowers blooming along the roadside and around stream banks, contributing to the poetic beauty of the mountains and forests here.
In particular, if you come here around the time the myrtle flowers bloom, usually from March to June, you will see an extremely beautiful forest of purple myrtle flowers.

2.3 Natural streams
Going deeper into Phu Quoc National Park, tourists will encounter clear water streams flowing from the Ham Ninh range with stunning beauty such as Da Ban Stream, Tranh Stream, and Da Ngon Stream.
For the Tranh stream and Da Ban stream, you should go in the rainy season because, in the dry season, these streams are dry. But don't worry, Phu Quoc National Park also has the 7-story high Da Ngon stream, as beautiful as heaven, flowing all year round, from day to night. As the iconic mountain of the region, like Fansipan, Angel Eye Mountain, or Marble Mountain, Chua Mountain is the highest mountain in Phu Quoc with an altitude of 603 m.
