Rong May Glass Bridge tourist area is located at the Heaven Gate on the top of the beautiful O Quy Ho Pass with a height of more than 2200m above sea level, about 16km from Sa Pa town and 7km from Fansipan cable car to the south of Lai Chau. This is an integrated tourist complex where visitors can admire the scenery, explore culture, and experience adventure games with modern restaurant and hotel systems.

Rong May Glass Bridge attracts a large number of tourists because of its breathtakingly beautiful natural scenery of the misty town undulating with majestic mountains of the Northwest, promising to satisfy visitors with its wonders gifted by nature. 

Ticket and service price

  • Transportation and sightseeing services: The glass elevator and ecological and mountainside sightseeing services cost 400,000 VND for adults and 200,000 VND for children (the price includes two trips up and down).

  • If visitors choose to travel by road along the top of the mountain to experience all the wonderful scenery, the entrance ticket is 200,000 VND for adults and 100,000 VND for children.

Rong May Glass Bridge owns the first glass elevator in Vietnam with a height of more than 300m to conquer the top of O Quy Ho mountain. The glass bridge system reaches 60m away from the cliff. The walkway is about 5m wide, and the base is made entirely of transparent tempered glass consisting of 3 layers glued to the sandstone cliffs of Hoang Lien Son range and is 600m long. Because the bridge system is made according to international standards, it can withstand the weight of nearly 3,000 people at a time, but in order to be comfortable during the visit, a maximum of 500 guests are allowed at a time.

3. Some Notes When Visiting Rong May Glass Bridge

  • Glass bridge railings are not fully glassed but are made of metal, the railings are not too high, so you need to stay calm when at a "huge" height and avoid moving too close to the railing area.

  • You should use the provided foot covers to avoid scratching the glass surface of the bridge.

  • If you feel worried, please ask the staff here to accompany you because the bridge is extremely high so you might inevitably lose your temper during the tour.

  • You should not stay on the glass bridge when things get dark because it will be difficult to move, and moving from this tourist area to Sapa town will also be more difficult.

Sapa reopens tourist attractions following stable weather

After a temporary closure due to adverse weather conditions, Sa Pa town has announced the reopening of several tourist attractions. The reopening comes as weather conditions have stabilized and the transportation system has been secured.

The Fansipan Legend Cable Car resumed operations on September 13th. Silver Waterfall, Ta Phin Stone Garden, Green Valley, Dreamy Rose Garden, Golden Stream, Love Waterfall, Ham Rong, and Cat Cat reopened on September 14th.

However, Ancient Rose Hill, Muong Hoa Valley, and Sin Chai will remain closed until further notice as authorities continue to monitor the situation.

Sa Pa has suspended all tourism activities due to landslides caused by Typhoon Yagi.

On September 8, the People's Committee of Sa Pa town announced the suspension of outdoor tourism activities and visiting relics and scenic spots in the area until further notice. Due to the impact of Typhoon Yagi, many roads and spillways in Sa Pa are currently damaged, not ensuring traffic safety.
