Mai Chau in a brief

Mai Chau, in the northwest of Hoa Binh province, is well-known for its picturesque scenery and unique cultural heritage. Because of its natural beauty and rich cultural history, Mai Chau draws visitors from all over the world.

Mai Chau, one of Vietnam's most well-known homestay villages, is populated primarily by White Thais, an ethnic group with ties to Laos and China. The White Thais have their own distinct traditions and agricultural practices. Thai housing architecture is one of the most defining characteristics of Thai culture and lifestyle.

In addition to the peace and quiet of the rice paddies, the rustic allure of the village, and the sophisticated handicrafts, the large karst limestone caves in Mai Chau are major draws. Mo Luong Cave and Chieu Cave are two of the largest and offer exciting hiking and trekking opportunities.

Festivals like Cha Chieng, Cau Mua, Gau Tao, and many more showcase Mai Chau's rich tradition of Thai and Mong folk music. Lac Village, Poom Coong Village, Van Village, and other community tourist hubs... When you visit Mai Chau Valley, you can take your time learning about the local culture, taking in the stunning scenery, and indulging in the delectable cuisine.

How to get to Mai Chau?

Mai Chau located about 140 kilometers far from Hanoi. From Hanoi, you can take a local bus straight to Mai Chau town, which is conveniently located a short distance away from Lac and Pom Coong. However, I don't recommend this kind of transportation. Booking a seat on a local bus can be a hassle for tourists from other countries, and not everywhere has easy access to public transportation. So a private tour to Mai Chau is the best option for a multi-attraction exploration.

Bonjour ! ».
