Coming to Trung Khanh, Cao Bang each season has its own beauty, but in autumn when the rice fields are ripe and fragrant, the scenery becomes the most beautiful here.
Trung Khanh district is located in the east, about 60 km from downtown Cao Bang.
Here there is the Quay Son River, which flows through limestone mountains, rice fields and villages, creating a beautiful landscape like a watercolor.
The mountain "Eye of the Mountain God" (Mat Than in Vietnamese) is located in the valley of the hamlet of Ban Danh, commune of Quoc Toan (district of Tra Linh), about 2 km from Thang Hen lake (also known as the name of Phja Piót, the Tay language means a hole in the mountain), because the mountain has a large span across the back round like an eye.
This mountain is located in the heart of the valley between the Thang Hen Lake complex of Cao Bang Non Nuoc Geopark, where there is a very charming scene with immense grassland and huge green lakes.
The people of Phong Nam mainly live on agriculture and forest, the pace of life here is very slow and gentle, besides visiting Phong Nam, you can also visit the villages in the valley, explore the life of the locals in Trung Khanh area
Most of the villages in Phong Nam are Tay people, so theystill keep the living features imbued with the identity of the mountainous region.

In addition to the unique "Eye of the Mountain God", people can learn about the daily life of the Tay people in Cao Bang. The beautiful and peaceful scenery here makes visitors feel like they are lost in another world, far from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Going into the bamboo forest you will feel the rare wild beauty, as if you got lost in another world, it is both beautiful and peaceful. The landscape of this place is completely natural but seems to be favored by mother nature, painted more to create the green color of life, proliferation, yellow color of abundance, brilliance and radiance.
The beauty of Trung Khanh border land is like an ink painting
In the Tay language, the name is "Phja Piót" - which means "mountain with a hole". It is so named because there is a hole in the middle of the mountain as if it had been pierced by an awl. The Mountain is shaped like a cave with a diameter of about 50 m. Maybe that's why people also call this hole with a beautiful name, the eye of God.
