This tour helps you to escape the busy city and immerse into the daily life of local citizens and enjoy the peaceful countryside.
8:00 AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, and we'll head to Ky Son, a charming rural hamlet situated about 55 km from downtown Hanoi. This village boasts several ancient houses, some dating back over 200 years.
At 09:30, upon arriving in Ky Son, you'll receive a warm welcome at the Moon Garden Homestay with some fresh local green tea.
At 10:00, let's dive into the exploration. You have the option to choose between a short 6 km ride or a longer 12 km round trip:
For the short ride: Embark on a bicycle journey to discover Ky Son, Tam Son, Van Minh, and Cham farming communities. Visit local families for a cup of tea and engage in conversations with them about their daily lives and farming activities. Alternatively, take a leisurely walk in the village. If interested, you can even participate in activities like plowing, transplanting seedlings, or harvesting rice (or cassava, corn, sweet potatoes, cucumber...) depending on the harvest season.
For the long ride: Join a bicycle adventure with a local guide to explore the Ky Son, Tam Son, Van Minh, and Cham farming communities. Venture into Duong Lam ancient village, visit Mia Pagoda, Mong Phu Communal House, and on the return journey, ride along the ritual paths of Thang Thac village to discover the Ngo Quyen tomb and temple.
At noon, we'll return to Moon Garden to enjoy lunch, savoring local products like maize, sweet potato, cassava, peanuts (depending on the season), or indulge in some traditional desserts.
Around 2:00 - 3:00 PM: Our driver will pick you up again for the journey back to Hanoi.
