Upon your arrival at Noi Bai Airport, our driver will be waiting to greet you at the arrival hall exit. You’ll then enjoy a comfortable 45-minute drive to the heart of Hanoi, passing over the historic Red River, where you can catch a glimpse of the city’s unique architecture and its famously bustling traffic.

The rest of the day is free at your leisure. Lunch and dinner are free at your own arrangement to explore the local cuisine. Overnight stay in Hanoi.

8:00 AM: Meet tour guide and driver at your hotel in Hanoi and transfer to Muong Lo via Thanh Son. Muong Lo is known as one of the four most important fertile valleys of the Northwest (Muong Thanh in Dien Bien Phu, Muong Tac in Phu Yen and Muong Than in Than Uyen) in which the Thai ethnic group predominates. The village consists of hundreds of houses on wooden stilts and Thai people cultivate the water rice. Drive to the national road number 32 along the black river (Da River) one of the most important rivers in the Northwest.

In Thanh Son, we will make a stop to visit the green tea plantation hill then walk through the stilt-house villages. It belongs to the Muong ethnic group, considered as Authentic Viet. The Muong ethnic group is one of few northern communities that is immune to Chinese influence.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant on the way.

Arrive in Nghia Lo, walk or bike around the Thai village to discover the beautiful rice field valleys and hamlets that still preserve the authentic houses on stilts and meet the friendly locals.

Enjoy breakfast then visit a local market in Nghia Lo then transfer to Mu Cang Chai via Tu Le. Mu Cang Chai is well known for its marvelous rice terrace widely considered as the most beautiful in the world. In 2007, Che Cu Nha, De Su Phinh and La Pan Tan were recognized as outdoor masterpieces on the list of national heritage.

At the exit of Nghia Lo, you will cross the hilly region populated by the Dao ethnic group on the hills. Stop for a chance to take photos and meet the local people on the way.

Arrive in Tu Le. It is possible to trek to the valley where Thai people live in houses on stilts and have some unusual encounters that allow you to immerse yourself into the authentic local life.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue to Khau Pha pass which offers you a splendid panoramic view of the valley of rice terraces.

Then the car will take you to La Pan Tan which is a legendary route for photographers. You will admire the gorgeous rice terrace masterpieces created by the Hmong peasant artists from generation to generation. Enjoy the majestic landscape and follow the route from La Pan Tan to Mam Xoi. End of the day, check in your accommodation. 

Travel towards Than Uyen, one of the most beautiful rice-growing valleys in the Thai ethnic region. The stunning terraced rice fields of Mu Cang Chai accompany you throughout the journey to Than Uyen.

Leaving Than Uyen, you will make a detour to reach Na Tam Commune, home to the Lao and Lu ethnic groups. Traditionally, local women are distinguished by their blackened teeth and indigo-colored costumes decorated with silver coins. A walking tour allows you to explore the village and meet its residents.

Meet your driver and continue to Sapa via Hoang Lien Son Pass. Stretching 54 km and reaching an altitude of 2,047 m, it is the highest and longest mountain pass in Vietnam. Along the way, enjoy spectacular scenery combining mountains, valleys, terraced rice fields, and villages inhabited by the Hmong and Dao ethnic groups. Several stops will be made for memorable photo opportunities.

At the top of the pass, take a short break to enjoy the fresh mountain air and browse stalls selling traditional medicinal plants.

Arrive in Sapa and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

The afternoon is free to explore the town at your own pace, including the church and its square, the local market, and the shopping streets.

Located at an altitude of 1,600 m, Sapa was discovered by the French in 1903. Renowned for its magnificent terraced rice fields, Sapa also captivates visitors with the rich cultural diversity of its ethnic communities, including the Black Hmong, Red Dao, and Giay people.

8:00 AM: Meet tour guide and enjoy 5km scenic transfer to the west of town. We will start a full day of trekking from Y Linh Ho village. Follow the path downhill, interact with the friendly H’mong ladies and children who live in houses nestled in the valley. Enjoy a bit of relaxation at the cable-bridge with the harmony and beauty of the surrounding nature. If you are sportive and adventurous, follow the uphill trek along the buffalo path with breathtaking views and less tourists. For those looking for an easy trek, embark on a leisurely stroll along the Muong Hoa River.

Direct to Head to Lao Chai village and follow a small path winding through the rice fields to reach a charming hamlet. Here, you'll have the chance to meet a grandmother who's the last craftsman in the community, using beeswax in the traditional way to decorate the unique indigo clothing of the Hmong people. It's also a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in their daily life and vibrant culture.

Continue to Ta Van village, the charming land of the Dzay people, well located on the hill with amazing views of river, rice terraces and Hoang Lien Son Mountain range. As you leisurely walk, meet villagers who will kindly invite you to visit their homes.

Have lunch at a local restaurant then transfer to Bac Ha via Thanh Kim, Thanh Phu, enjoy stunning views of mountain, river and hydropower lakes along the way. Located at an altitude of 1000m, Bac Ha is home to several ethnic groups such as the colorful Hmong, Phu La and Tay. Bac Ha region is well known for its weekly, colorful markets surrounded by wild and beautiful scenery. The markets are not only for the exchange of goods but also for the cultural exchange of the ethnic groups for centuries.  

7:00 AM: Start exploring Bac Ha by visiting a vibrant ethnic market (Bac Ha Market on Sundays, Coc Ly Market on Tuesdays, Sin Cheng Market on Wednesdays, Lung Phinh Market on Fridays, or Can Cau Market on Saturdays). Immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere, with a variety of goods such as vegetables, clothing, and poultry, while admiring the colorful attire of the local ethnic groups.

Please note that the market is liveliest early in the morning and begins to wind down by 10:00 am. To fully experience it, it's best to arrive early.

After visiting the market, take a walk through some idyllic ethnic villages, typical of the Bac Ha landscape, interspersed with cornfields, cassava hills, and clay houses. Plum gardens, decorated by H'Mong women in their colorful dresses, will accompany you throughout your journey.

8:30: Meet your tour guide and driver at hotel then transfer to Ninh Binh, the awesome site is enriched with historical, cultural, religion and geographic wonders. On the journey passing the Red River delta, stop as you wish for pictures.

Upon arrival, we make our first stop in Tam Coc, often referred to as “Halong Bay on land” for its spectacular karst scenery rising from emerald rice fields. This picturesque landscape also appeared in the famous French movie Indochina. Enjoy a private sampan boat ride along the peaceful Ngo Dong River, drifting through three natural caves while taking in a harmonious blend of limestone formations, rice paddies, and rural village life.

After the boat ride, we visit Thai Vy Temple, a serene and lesser-known sanctuary nestled among rice fields and limestone mountains. Dedicated to the Tran Dynasty kings, the temple honors Emperor Tran Thai Tong and his successors, who led Vietnam during a golden age in the 13th century. Built entirely of stone, the temple stands out for its simple yet elegant architecture and its tranquil atmosphere, offering a deeper insight into Vietnam’s royal and spiritual heritage away from the crowds.

Hoa Lu, you will visit the temples dedicated toEmperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-980), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009) who played a vital role in gaining the country’s independence after it was ruled by China for a thousand years. Both temples were built in the 17th symbolizing a deep respect to the King’s contributions.

8:30: The cycling experience begins as you set off by bicycle towards Thung La Temple. Following quiet country paths, you cycle through rice fields, ponds filled with lotus and water lilies (depending on the season), and traditional villages typical of the Red River Delta. Depending on the season and time of day, you may also see local farmers working in the fields.

The route takes you through several characteristic villages in northern Vietnam, including Trung Chinh, Bich Thuong and Loc Luong. In Trung Chinh, stop to explore the village’s cultural centre, including its communal house and pagoda, and gain an insight into traditional rural community life.

The ride then continues to Thung La Temple, the furthest point of the route. Here, you will meet local folk artisans and discover a selection of traditional Vietnamese musical instruments. You will have the opportunity to see and hear the instruments while learning more about the area’s cultural heritage.

After this cultural encounter, cycle back along the dyke beside Van Long Wetland, enjoying the surrounding scenery as you make your way back to the starting point.

Afterwards, discover Van Long Nature Reserve on a tranquil sampan ride through a vast landscape of limestone karsts and wetlands. As one of Vietnam’s largest nature reserves and a Ramsar-designated wetland of international importance, Van Long is renowned for its rich biodiversity. With a little luck, you may spot Delacour’s langurs, as well as egrets and other waterbirds resting on the limestone cliffs or foraging along the wetlands.

After lunch, we continue to Lang Van Church, one of the most striking contemporary religious landmarks in Ninh Binh. Designed in an impressive Gothic style, the church is characterized by pointed arches, soaring vaulted ceilings, and an imposing bell tower rising over 100 meters, making it one of the tallest church towers in Vietnam.

We then take part in an embroidery workshop led by Mrs. Lam, a local master craftswoman. With great pride, she introduces the traditional embroidery techniques passed down through generations. Under her guidance, you have the chance to work with needle and fabric, gaining hands-on experience and a deeper appreciation of this delicate craft, just like a local artisan.

11:30 - 12:00 : Arrive at the office at Halong International Cruise Port, spend time relaxing with a cup of tea or coffee while waiting for the captain to finish registration, then transfer by tender to the boat.

12:15 - 12:30 : Enjoy a welcome drink and listen to a short briefing about safety on the boat and included activities, then check in to the cabin.

13:00 - 13:30 : A Vietnamese set menu lunch is served while cruising into Bai Tu Long Bay.

15:00 : Arrive at the kayaking area at Cap La Island. Enjoy kayaking through the karst, swimming, and relaxing.

17:00 - 17:30 : Get back to the boat and enjoy the sunset party while the cruise sails to the overnight anchorage.

18:00 - 18:30 : Enjoy the sunset party at the overnight anchorage place and experience a vegetable carving demonstration with the chef.

19:00 : A set-dinner is served onboard.

20:30 : Free time to try Vietnamese puzzle games, play board games with family or group, go squid fishing, or enjoy a cocktail at night on the bay.

06:00: Start your day with a Tai Chi routine on sundeck or catch a morning view of the stunning bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee.

07:00: Breakfast will be served in Western style, familiar to you to fulfill your strength and ready for another exploring day.

08:00: Explore the well hidden Thien Canh Son Cave.

09:00: Upon return to the boat you will have about 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing.

10:00: Attend in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. You can quickly learn a simple but delicious Vietnamese dish that Gordon Ramsey (a 2 Michelin Star Chef) used to guide – Nem Cuon or challenge yourself in fruit and vegetables carving.

11:00: Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch on boat.

12:00: Back to the harbor.

The shuttle bus driver from the cruise picks you up at the cruise’s reception hall and transfers you back to Hanoi. Upon arrival, you are dropped off in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

In the evening, our driver picks you up at your hotel or address in Hanoi’s Old Quarter and transfers you to Hanoi Train Station for your onward train to Hue.

Upon arriving at Hue train station in the morning, you meet our local guide and driver, then head to a nearby restaurant to enjoy a breakfast.

Afterwards, we board a dragon boat to cruise along the Perfume River, giving you a gentle introduction to Hue’s daily life unfolding on both banks of this poetic waterway.

Reaching Tien Non village, we step ashore for a leisurely bike ride through the countryside. Along the way, you meet villagers working in their fields and vegetable gardens, and stop to visit a traditional family worship house.

We continue to Thanh Tien, a 400-year-old village famous for crafting delicate paper flowers. Here, local families create these symbolic flowers for the New Year festival as offerings to their ancestors. You visit the home of Mr. Hieu, a renowned artisan, and learn how to make your own paper flower under his guidance.

The journey goes on to Sinh village, another 400-year-old craft community known as the birthplace of Hue’s traditional folk prints. Meet Mr. Phuoc, who shares the techniques behind these distinctive artworks - an ideal chance to find meaningful handmade souvenirs.

Around midday, we return to Hue.

Visit the serene Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest and most revered pagodas in Hue, founded in 1601. Set on the banks of the Perfume River, this spiritual landmark is instantly recognizable by its elegant octagonal tower. The peaceful surroundings and river views make this site a symbolic and contemplative highlight of the former imperial capital.

Follow itinerary to the Imperial Citadel, the last remaining symbol of what was once Vietnam’s imperial capital. Inspired by Vauban-style fortifications, the complex is divided into three distinct sections: Kinh Thanh (the Capital City), Hoang Thanh (the Imperial City), and Cam Thanh (the Forbidden City). Within these walls lie many of Hue’s most remarkable landmarks, including the Flag Tower, the imposing South Gate, and the Palace of Supreme Harmony.

Begin with a visit to the Khai Dinh Tomb, the most distinctive of Hue’s imperial tombs. Unlike the others, it blends traditional Vietnamese design with strong Western influences. A climb of around one hundred stone steps leads to the main worship hall at the summit, where visitors admire an extraordinary interior adorned with intricate mosaics made from porcelain and glass fragments. Highlights include the impressive ceiling mural depicting a soaring dragon and a small exhibition displaying royal artifacts connected to Emperor Khai Dinh.

Travel onward to Hoi An on a scenic drive of around 3.5 hours. The route follows some of the most beautiful coastal landscapes in central Vietnam, passing the tranquil Lang Co Lagoon, crossing the dramatic Hai Van Pass (also known as the Sea Cloud Pass), and skirting the coastline near My Khe Beach, famous for its long stretch of white sand and clear waters.

In the afternoon, discover the timeless charm of Hoi An Ancient Town on a guided walking tour.

Begin at the Museum of Antiquities, home to a compact yet insightful collection of Cham artefacts and ceramics, offering a deeper understanding of Hoi An’s layered cultural heritage.

Continue on foot to the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge, a 17th-century wooden structure and enduring symbol of the town’s historic role as an international trading port.

Your walk concludes at Quan Thang Ancient House, one of Hoi An’s best-preserved merchant residences, admired for its elegant architecture and refined wood carvings that reflect the prosperity and aesthetic sensibilities of a bygone era.

8:30: Today, we take a leisurely bike ride to discover the peaceful rural villages around Hoi An. Depart from your hotel and pedal toward Kim Bong village, a community long celebrated for its traditional woodcarving. Local artisans first inherited their techniques from northern Vietnam, then refined their craft through exchanges with Chinese and Japanese masters, gradually shaping a distinctive style of their own.

Continue cycling along quiet trails lined with rice paddies, bamboo bridges and river views before reaching Tra Nhieu village. This is a wonderful immersion into Central Vietnam’s countryside. Along the way, you meet local families such as Ms. Duoc, who weaves sedge mats; Mr. Kha, known for his round bamboo basket boats; and Mr. Huynh Ri, who maintains a small traditional shipyard. The scenery of nipa palms, rice fields, grazing buffaloes and farmers at work accompanies your ride.

From Tra Nhieu, board a boat along the Thu Bon River to Cam Thanh village. The journey flows through tranquil landscapes of fishing farms and lush water palms. On arrival, step into a small round bamboo basket boat and try your hand at catching crabs in the palm-water channels.

Afterward, relax at the home of a local fisherman, Mr. Phong, where you enjoy green tea and a soothing herbal foot massage using plants grown in his garden. Then, with fresh vegetables and herbs, take part in a hands-on cooking session to prepare typical Hoi An dishes such as crispy pancakes (with meat, shrimp and bean sprouts) and fresh spring rolls — and then savor the dishes you’ve created.

8:30: Our local driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in central Ho Chi Minh City. From there, we’ll head to Ben Tre, in the heart of the Mekong Delta.

Upon arrival, board a boat at Phong Nam pier (near Phong Nam Bridge) and begin cruising along the Chet Say River, a scenic branch of the Mekong. Along the way, enjoy views of daily life on the river—fishing, cargo transport, and local activity. Stop at a traditional brick factory where bricks are still handmade using age-old techniques. Refresh with a glass of fresh coconut juice.

Continue the boat trip to a coconut processing workshop where you’ll discover how coconut candy is made. Taste the delicious coconut treats, enjoy tropical fruits, and sip honey tea.

Take a short walk to visit a family-run mat weaving workshop. Then, hop on a motor cart or bicycle for a peaceful ride through quiet village lanes, giving you a closer look at local farmers’ daily lives.

After lunch, transfer by motor cart back to the pier. Then take a traditional rowing boat ride to return to Nha Viec Bridge.

14:30 – Your driver meets you for the journey to Long Xuyen, the capital of An Giang Province. Located on the banks of the Hau River, Long Xuyen is a laid-back Mekong town known for its authentic local life and as a gateway to the river culture of southern Vietnam.

In the morning, transfer to Long Xuyen Floating Market and Floating Village, located on a lively yet authentic tributary of the Mekong River. From the boat, observe the daily routines of riverside communities as traders, families, and fishermen go about their morning activities.

Continue by boat to Cu Lao Ong Ho Island, home to a small museum dedicated to President Ton Duc Thang. Explore the island by bicycle, cycling through quiet lanes and enjoying the peaceful rural landscapes shaped by the river.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, return by road to Ho Chi Minh City and check in at your hotel in the late afternoon.
