8:00 – 8:30 AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter or our Shuttle Bus stop (if you have booked the transfer with us - an additional fee applies). We'll then embark on a scenic drive to Halong City. The transfer takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, with an optional restroom stop along the way.
Upon your arrival at Tuan Chau port, a tender will be waiting to transport you to the Heritage Line's Violet.
Our first stop is Cua Van, a floating fishing village where some fishermen still use it as a base for their fishing and aquacultural activities. Glide through this serene area in a small bamboo boat rowed by locals, gaining insight into the village and understanding how entire families used to live on the water here. For the more active ones, grab a kayak and paddle around the floating hamlet for a personal exploration (complimentary only for 2-night stays).
Next, we transfer by tender to Tien Ong Cave, providing evidence of human civilization dating back to 10,000 – 8,000 BC. This small cave offers fascinating insights into Halong Bay's geological history. Returning to the ship, we sail to the overnight mooring area, where the "blue hour" reveals Halong Bay's magical beauty. Relax on the sun deck with your favorite drink, soaking in the tranquil moment. Join a cooking class with our chef, practicing classic Vietnamese recipes.
As evening descends, savor a multi-course à la carte dinner. Optionally, participate in an on-board presentation about the bay's unique features and secrets. Alternatively, try your hand at squid fishing with our staff for a delightful and entertaining experience. Spend the rest of the evening embracing the magical landscapes in the heart of Halong Bay, where, once upon a time, sparkling jewels cascaded from heavenly dragons.
For the early birds, kickstart your day in the dining room with tea, coffee, and pastries, followed by an invigorating Tai Chi class on the sun deck to awaken your mind and muscles.
Our next destination is the quaint "Ti Top Island," formerly known as Cat Nang. This change came about after a memorable visit in 1962 by former President Ho Chi Minh and Russian astronaut Gherman Titov. Captivated by the island's beauty, Uncle Ho decided to rename it in honor of Mr. Titov, symbolizing the friendship between their two nations.
Upon reaching Ti Top, dive into a refreshing morning swim on the sandy beach or, for the more adventurous, embark on a 400-step climb (20 min.) to the island's peak for breathtaking panoramic views of the bay. Afterward, return to the ship, freshen up with a shower, and savor the final moments of our journey back to the harbor while enjoying a delicious breakfast.
Our driver will greet you at the Cruise Waiting Lounge and transfer you to Hanoi (additional fees applied). The journey takes approximately 2.5-3 hours, with a restroom stop available along the way (optional). You will be dropped off at your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter or at our Shuttle Bus stop.
