Join us on a 3-day, 2-night journey to explore Sapa – one of Vietnam’s most popular destinations, known for its hill tribe villages, terraced rice fields, and breathtaking mountain landscapes. The trip includes round-trip bus transportation from Hanoi and offers a day and a half of hiking through Ma Tra, Ta Phin, Lao Chai, and Ta Van villages. You'll also spend half a day visiting the stunning Silver Waterfall and Heaven Gate.
6:45 - 7:30 AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter. Once everyone is on board, we’ll set off for Sapa via the Hanoi - Lao Cai Highway. The drive takes about 6 hours, with a few optional stops along the way for coffee breaks. As we travel, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the rural countryside, mountains, and river landscapes. We expect to arrive in Sapa around 1:00 PM. If your accommodation is in the town center, the driver will drop you off at your hotel, or at a location of your choice within Sapa.
Our local guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in the center of Sapa town. From there, your journey begins with a scenic drive to Silver Waterfall, where you'll take a short walk up the steps to admire the stunning cascade.
Afterward, continue to Heaven Gate, the highest mountain pass in Vietnam, where you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding mountain range, including Fansipan, the tallest peak in Indochina. If you're taking an afternoon trip and luck is on your side, you may catch a spectacular sunset at O Quy Ho Pass—the perfect way to experience the beauty of the mountains.
On the return to Sapa, there will be opportunities to stop and explore a rose garden and a lush green tea plantation before arriving back in Sapa town.
9:00 - 9:30 AM: Our local guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Sapa town. Once everyone is on board, we’ll head to the starting point of the hike. The trail offers breathtaking views of the lush green valley, dotted with beautiful rice terraces and villages belonging to the Black H’mong ethnic group.
Along the way, we’ll stop at Lao Chai village, home to the Black H’mong people, known for their indigo handicrafts. This is a great opportunity to meet and interact with the friendly locals.
Around noon, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant by the riverbank.
Afterward, the hike continues through various hill tribe villages, crossing charming suspension bridges before arriving at Ta Van village, where you'll explore the local way of life and rich cultural traditions.
Finally, you’ll hop in the van for the return journey to Sapa.
Begin your journey with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Sapa town, followed by a short transfer to Ma Tra Village, just a few kilometers away.
Upon arriving in Ma Tra, start your trekking adventure by exploring this charming village, home to the Black H'mong ethnic group. As you wander through the village, you'll be greeted by scenic terraced rice fields, traditional wooden houses, and breathtaking mountain views. Take the opportunity to learn about the H'mong people's way of life, their customs, and their traditional crafts.
Continue trekking through lush forests and valleys, enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The trail leads to Ta Phin Village, where the Red Dao ethnic group resides.
In Ta Phin Village, immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of the Red Dao people, renowned for their herbal baths. Visit local families to discover their unique customs, from intricate embroidery to herbal medicine practices. You may also have the chance to observe or purchase traditional handmade crafts directly from the villagers.
After exploring Ta Phin, you'll be picked up by our bus for the return drive to Sapa town.
1:00 - 2:00 PM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in the central area of Sapa. Once everyone is on board, we’ll begin our journey back to Hanoi via the Hanoi - Lao Cai Highway. The drive takes around 6 hours, with a few optional stops along the way for coffee or a quick break. We anticipate arriving in Hanoi between 8:00 and 9:00 PM. If your accommodation is in the Old Quarter, the driver will drop you off at your hotel or any location of your choice within the area.

Baggage: Checked baggage allowance generally ranges between 20 kg and 23 kg, depending on the airline. Cabin baggage is usually limited to 7 kg.

If you have a connecting domestic flight in Vietnam, please follow these steps upon arrival:

Recommended connection time: minimum 2 hours 30 minutes
This allows sufficient time for possible flight delays, queues at immigration and customs, and transfers between terminals.
Practical tip: At major airports such as Hanoi (Noi Bai) or Ho Chi Minh City (Tan Son Nhat), domestic and international terminals are not always located in the same building. Please allow ample time and follow the signs upon arrival.
No mandatory vaccinations are required to enter Vietnam.
However, health authorities recommend the following vaccinations, especially for long stays or travel in rural areas:
If you are undergoing regular medical treatment, please ensure you bring a sufficient supply of medication for the entire duration of your stay.
Do not forget to carry your prescription, preferably in English, to facilitate any checks or medical consultations on site.
The risk of malaria is very low in Vietnam’s main tourist areas, including Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Mai Chau, Pu Luong, Hue, Hoi An, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, and the tourist areas of the Mekong Delta. No malaria prophylaxis is generally recommended for these regions.
However, if you plan to travel to remote rural, forested, or mountainous areas (for example, Muong Te in Lai Chau, certain border or isolated areas of the northern highlands, or deep areas of the Mekong), you should consult a doctor or a travel medicine clinic to assess the need for preventive treatment.
