8:30 AM: Pick up from hotel, our Jeep will drive you to District 9. Although being one of 12 Saigon’s districts but District 9’s scenery looks like Mekong Delta’s with canals and water coconut trees.
Upon arrival, you will have an escorted tour to visit the home garden of fashion designer Si Hoang, who is famous for his works and a huge collection of Ao Dai (the traditional costume of Vietnamese women). At his home garden, there are 2 small museums to visit: One displays and preserves hundreds of Ao Dai from the 17th to 21st century and the other one display the Ao Dai, which used to belong to the famous people in Vietnam, from politicians, business women to artists. Listening to the stories of Ao Dai will help you to get more knowledge of not only Vietnam traditional costume but also our local culture.
Have a cup of coffee with relaxing music background in the garden; view the beautiful traditional architectural houses before driving back to downtown.
