Bassac Mekong Cruise | Cai Be - Can Tho - Cai Be 3 days 2 nights

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and transfer you to Cai Be (additional charges apply). Enjoy the scenic drive through small towns, countryside villages, and lush green fields along the way. The transfer takes about 3 hours, with an optional stop en route.

Board the ship at Cai Be at noon. Enjoy a welcome drink, an introduction to the ship and crew, and check into your cabin. 

Depart towards Cho Lach on the Tien Giang River. 

Lunch will be served while en route. Relax on the deck as you sail. 

The Bassac will slip into the Cho Lach canal, amidst the hustle and bustle of river traffic, passing by markets and churches. This is a unique opportunity to glimpse the diverse life along the banks and on the water. 

By mid-afternoon, the Bassac will anchor for a shore visit. After passing the first tree line, you can quietly explore the peaceful life of the delta's countryside, including rice fields, fruit trees, and friendly locals. Alternatively, you can take a short cycling tour of the surrounding area. 

Reboard the ship and enjoy a complimentary welcome drink. Relax on the deck and take in the sunset. 

Dinner will be served as the Bassac cruises the Mang Thit River. 

The Bassac will anchor just downstream from Tra On for the night.  

The boat departs at 6:00 AM and cruises towards Can Tho.

Breakfast will be served at 7:00 AM. Upon arrival in Can Tho, transfer to a local boat to visit the Cai Rang floating market, then visit a small bamboo basket workshop. Return to the Ninh Kieu pier by mid-morning.

Board the ship again at Ninh Kieu pier and enjoy a welcome drink. The ship will depart downstream on the Hau River. Have lunch on board while en route. 

The Bassac will turn into Nicolai canal, heading towards the Mang Thit and Co Chien rivers. Relax on the upper deck and enjoy the scenery of rice fields, sugar cane, and woods along the banks. 

By mid-afternoon, the Bassac will anchor for another shore visit. Explore the quiet countryside, including rice fields, fruit trees, and meet the friendly locals. You can also choose a short cycling tour of the area.

Return to the ship and enjoy a complimentary drink. Relax on the deck or around the bar while watching the sunset.

Dinner will be served as the Bassac cruises along the Mang Thit River. The ship will anchor for the night on the Mang Thit River.  

The boat departs at 6:00 AM, cruising towards Cai Be. Breakfast is available at 7:00 AM.

The Bassac crosses the Co Chien River, then enters the Cho Lach Canal for a 30-minute journey through the busy traffic of sand and rice barges, passing fruit drying facilities and wooden shipbuilding yards.

Arrive in Cai Be, check out, and transfer to a rowing boat for a quiet trip through a small canal, if the tide permits.

Meet a local boat for a transfer to shore for a visit to Cai Be's handicraft area.

End of services by mid-morning on shore at Cai Be.
