8:30 AM: We begin our discovery of Hanoi with the Temple of Literature which was built under the Ly dynasty in 11th century for worshipping Confucius and teaching Royal children. Enjoy a walk in the garden to the city’s symbol Khue Van Cac. You will then visit the World Heritage "stone steles” which shows the name of outstanding students. Continue to explore the Quoc Tu Giam which is considered as the first national university of Vietnam.
Afterwards, we explore Hoa Lo prison museum. Spend an hour to learn about the Vietnamese War. Hoa Lo was one of the largest prisons in Indochina, built by the French colonists in 1896 for Vietnamese political prisoners. Later, it was better known as the Hanoi Hilton since it imprisoned American pilots.
Following lunch at a local restaurant, you will have some free time.
17:00: Explore Hanoi in style on a vintage Jeep with your driver and guide leading the way. The journey takes you deep into hidden backstreets where locals live and work, offering a glimpse of the city’s untold stories.
Cruise through the French and Old Quarters, nicknamed “Little Paris,” with tree-lined boulevards, colonial villas, the embassy area, the Opera House, and the historic Long Bien Bridge all on the route. Continue around West Lake - Hanoi’s “air conditioner” - where ancient temples and villages stand in contrast to modern skyscrapers rising in the new districts.

8:30 AM: Meet tour guide and driver then depart to Mai Chau. On the way, visit a Muong village. Continue to Thung Khe pass where you can view magnificent panoramic views of the valley before arriving in Mai Chau town. Mai Chau is a beautiful valley located 145 km away from Hanoi. It is great place with harmonious landscapes, green mountain ranges, rice terraces and White Thai ethnic villages.
Upon arrival in Mai Chau, enjoy a home-hosted lunch. In the afternoon, explore Mai Hich village by bike (optional) or walk along the trails and concrete roads. You will be seduced by the gorgeous landscapes as the villages, rice fields, mountains and streams are in perfect harmony with one another. Our journey continues to Eo Ken, about 30 kilometers from Mai Chau town. From here, we'll set off on a two-hour walk down a charming small path. Along the way, you'll be treated to spectacular scenery, where lush tropical forests seamlessly blend with terraced rice fields and scattered limestone rocks. You'll also have the opportunity to visit a local family in Eo Ken village and experience their authentic, day-to-day life.
The walk concludes in Hang village, where our driver will be waiting to take us to our hotel in Pu Luong.

8:30 AM: After breakfast, we’ll check out and depart for Chieng Lau, a picturesque area renowned for its lush rice fields and bamboo water wheels. Here, embark on a scenic walk, allowing you to engage with local residents and catch a glimpse of the bamboo water wheels used for irrigation.

Transfer to Ninh Binh, a scenic drive that takes approximately 3 hours. Along the way, you'll pass through rural landscapes and peaceful villages, offering a glimpse into the daily life of the Vietnamese countryside. The route is a blend of winding mountain roads and flat terrains, making for a picturesque journey.
Upon arriving in Ninh Binh, we’ll check into the hotel and then begin exploring with a visit to Bich Dong pagoda, a typical pagoda in the countryside of the Red River Delta, built in the 15th century. On arrival, you will cross a stone bridge to Chua Ha, from which over 100 steps lead to Chua Trung – the cave pagoda with unique clay statues. You will then hike up to Chua Thuong. You not only have the chance to learn about Buddhism but also get to experience incredible countryside views.

8:30 AM: We'll depart for Trang An, recognized by UNESCO in 2014 as the world’s first mixed heritage site, is a true marvel of nature and culture. Upon arrival at the pier, you’ll board a private traditional sampan, gently rowed by a local. Glide along a poetic river and pass through a series of caves, some stretching 300–400 meters in length. Each bend reveals a hidden world nestled in peaceful, isolated valleys.
Step off the boat to wander through serene pagodas and temples dedicated to revered mandarins of the Tran Dynasty. Then, return to your sampan and soak in the breathtaking natural beauty as you head back to the pier.
Following lunch, we will travel to Hoa Lu, you will visit the temples dedicated toEmperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009) who played a vital role in gaining the country’s independence after it was ruled by China for a thousand years. Both temples were built in the 17th symbolizing a deep respect to the King’s contributions.

8:00 AM: Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ninh Binh and transfer you to Halong. The journey takes around 3.5 to 4 hours, with an optional stop for a restroom break along the way. Upon arrival, you'll be dropped off at Tuan Chau Pier, where you will board your cruise.

Located 15 kilometers northwest of Cat Ba Town, Trung Trang Cave stretches 300 meters through the mountain, showcasing a captivating beauty shaped by millions of years of geological processes. Inside, you’ll find an array of uniquely shaped stalactites that spark the imagination and leave visitors in awe.
09:45 – 10:00: Welcome back aboard Orchid Cruises as we prepare for check-out. Treat yourself to a delightful brunch at our restaurant.

Here you’ll meet Mr. Hai, a third-generation farmer, and join him in planting crops like corn, peanuts, and cassava while learning how agriculture remains central to the local lifestyle.
Continue with a bike ride (or walk) to visit a folk music artist and try traditional instruments, then walk to a 200-year-old banyan tree beside the village temple, where you’ll hear tales of customs and legends passed down through generations.
Glide through serene nipa palm groves in a traditional basket boat, observe how locals fish and navigate the waterways, then stop at a village home to enjoy a fresh, home-cooked meal served with genuine hospitality.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore the ancient town of Hoi An. Our first stop is Hoi An city’s symbol - the Chua Cau or the Japanese Covered Bridge, built in the 17th century to allow the Japanese quarter to be accessible from the Chinese neighborhoods. The bridge’s original style has been carefully preserved for the last 400 years.
Afterwards, we explore Phung Hung House, located in the heart of Hoi An and built in the 18th century, is a testament to the town’s golden age of cultural exchange. This historic home has been lived in by more than eight generations of the same family. Meet a local guide—who is also a family member - and follow her as she introduces you to the unique heritage and values preserved in the house.
Next, we visit Hoian museum of history and culture. The display of the Sa Huynh Culture (before the 2nd centuries AD), Champa culture (the 2nd-15th centuries AD) and Dai Viet, Dai Nam Culture (the 16th-19th centuries) artifacts, with some huge bells, historic photos, old scales and weights alongside plenty of ceramics. It is enriched by the interesting things about the oldest street, the folk meaning and conception of the “eyes” on the doors of ancient houses and of the spiral carved patterns “De leaf” “Yin and Yang”, and many others.
Afterwards, take a stroll through Hoian center market where is the best place to see the local daily life. Situated on the riverside, the large market is packed with stalls where you easily find a huge variety of food at extremely cheap prices. There is also a great fresh vegetable, meat and fish market which is worth visiting.
In the evening, join the Teh Dar show, an immersive journey into the enchanting world of Vietnam’s highlanders. Experience dramatic scenes of wild hunts, moonlit romance, and mystical tales of life, death, and rebirth - brought to life through breathtaking bamboo cirque, daring acrobatics, and mesmerizing tribal melodies. Recognized by UNESCO as an official cultural heritage, this performance is a feast for the senses.

8:30 AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in the heart of Hoi An. From there, we’ll head to Hue, passing through Da Nang. The journey takes about 3-4 hours, taking you along some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in central Vietnam, including My Khe Beach, fishing villages, the Hai Van Pass, and Lang Co Lagoon.
Upon arrival in Hue, enjoy lunch before starting your exploration of the city with Hue Citadel, the only vestige symbol for what was once the imperial city of Vietnam. It is inspired by the fortification of Vauban. The city is composed of three parts: Kinh Thanh (the Capital city), Hoang Thanh (the Imperial city) and Cam Thanh (the Forbidden City). The most beautiful sites in Hue are concentrated in this area including the flag tower, the South gate, the palace of supreme Harmony, the Dynasty temple area and the settlement area.
To end the day, we visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in Hue, dating back to 1601. This is the spiritual highlight of the city and well known for its majestic octagon tower and beautiful view of the Perfume River.

8:30 AM: Today, we continue exploring Hue. First, transfer to Tien Non Village, where you’ll meet local villagers working in the fields and tending vegetable gardens. Visit a family worship house and gain insight into the rural life of farmers in Hue.
Next, continue to Thanh Tien Village, famous for its 400-year tradition of making paper flowers. In addition to farming, the villagers create beautiful paper flowers for the New Year festival as offerings to their ancestors. At Mr. Hieu’s home, one of the village’s most renowned artisans, you’ll have the chance to learn how to craft paper flowers under his guidance.
The journey then takes you to Sinh Village, the cradle of 400-year-old folk woodblock printing in Hue, where you’ll meet Mr. Phuoc and discover the techniques behind this traditional art form.
In the afternoon, we will explore Depart to Tu Duc Tomb. Certainly, it is the most beautiful and majestic architectural work among emperor's tombs. Built between 1864 - 1867, this tomb is composed of two parts: the temple and the tomb. There are 50 monuments in this tomb area. In perfect harmony with nature, it is surrounded by two lotus ponds on either side. The tomb is surrounded by statues of Lions, elephants and mandarins. Due to its beauty and its proximity to Hue, this tomb also called “Khiem Lang”. It is the most visited tomb here.

9:00 AM: We begin our discovery of Ho Chi Minh City with the Independence Palace, once used as the home - office of the Presidents of South Vietnam. Our visit includes the North Vietnamese tank which effectively attacked the palace in 1975 to bring the controversial Vietnam War to an end and the five-story palace with its rooms have been preserved in their late 1960s, 1970s style and a bunker basement.
Then, you can choose between two fascinating museums. The War Remnants Museum offers a thought-provoking look at the Vietnam War through powerful photographs and historical artifacts - a perspective that may challenge what you're used to hearing and seeing. Alternatively, the FITO Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine invites you into a quieter world of herbal remedies, ancient healing techniques, and beautifully preserved antique tools that showcase centuries of medical knowledge.
After lunch at a local restaurant, continue exploring Ho Chi Minh City with a visit to the Quan Am Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in city and dedicated to Guan Yin, elements of Taoism, and the folk worship of the "Queen of Heaven".
To conclude the day, we'll take a stroll in Binh Tay Market, located in Saigon’s Chinatown area with hundreds of stalls, the biggest market in city actually contributes a hub for many of Saigon’s demands including clothing, souvenir and food items. There is also a food court where visitors can sample local delicacies and street food.

8:30 AM: We depart for the most striking place in the history of the Vietnam War, the Cu Chi Tunnels.
Cu Chi is a real underground city made up of a large network of tunnels covering an area of over 250km long where the Viet Cong conducted the war of resistance against American troops. All of the tunnels were dug over a period of twenty years using only pickaxes and shovels. The tour includes special entering some part of tunnels.
Option:
At the Cu Chi shooting range, guests can enhance their experience by trying real gun firing. This service allows visitors to test their aim with a variety of firearms under supervision. It’s a thrilling option for those seeking a bit of adventure. This is an optional service not included in the tour price, and guests will need to pay on the spot.
After lunch, we'll return to the hotel and enjoy some free time.
6:00 PM: To start off this Saigon night tour, enjoy drinks at our Vespa-themed café, Café Zoom, to watch “as the world goes by” (as said in the Lonely Planet guide book)
Throughout the night, try a variety of food and drinks at 2 local restaurants and samplings of Saigon’s best authentic local food.
Zoom past the famous must-see sights of Ho Chi Minh City while in the bustling traffic. We’ll also go to a Vietnamese-style coffee shop with special live music, and then wrap up the evening at an exciting music bar where the new generation of Vietnamese unwind and flaunt their unique styles.
Guests ride pillion behind our drivers to enjoy and experience the Vietnamese nightlife with friends. This tour includes free flowing drinks and all you can eat, so come with an appetite!

8:00: Start your day with a 2.5 hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre, a province famous for its coconut groves and lush waterways.
Upon arrival, step aboard your private boat and begin cruising through the quiet canals that wind their way across the delta. Along the way, you’ll see how local life is shaped by the river: fishermen casting their nets, children playing on the banks, and coconut palms swaying in the breeze.
Your first stop is a small island where you can stroll through a coconut garden and refresh yourself with a drink straight from the fruit. Continue your journey to visit a family-run workshop, where coconuts are still processed by hand using traditional methods. From here, hop on a bicycle and pedal along peaceful village paths, stopping at a centuries-old brick kiln to learn how clay is shaped and fired in time-honored fashion.
Later, change pace with a rowing sampan ride through narrow, shaded canals – one of the most atmospheric ways to experience the delta. Arriving at a local family’s home, you’ll be welcomed with tea and a variety of homemade sweets, including coconut and banana candies. This is also a chance to learn about daily life in the countryside, where families earn their living from farming and fishing.
Back on land, climb into a xe loi (a traditional tri-motor cycle) and enjoy a fun ride along rustic village lanes before stopping for a leisurely lunch at the charming Mango Home Restaurant.
Afterward, take a short walk or cycle ride to meet local artisans. One family will show you how they produce rice wine, while another will demonstrate the delicate art of making rice paper – a key ingredient in Vietnam’s famous spring rolls. Of course, you’ll also get to taste the crispy rice paper fresh from the fire.
In the late afternoon, return to your car for the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City.
