The DMZ was home to some of the most intense battles of the Vietnam War. This tour provides insight into wartime history and the interesting experiences inside the Vinh Moc tunnel.
7:30 AM: Pick up from your hotel in Hue then travel north to the DMZ where was well-known as the site of some of the fiercest battles of the Vietnam War. The tour through this region provides an insight into the wartime history. Our first visit is Khe Sanh combat base, located near the Laotian border. As early as 1962, the U.S. Military Command established an Army Special Forces camp to prevent the supporting from Laos to North Vietnam Army. This land is famous for the Battle of Khe Sanh in 1968 which was the longest, deadliest and most controversial of the Vietnam War. The tour including an excursion to Ta Con Army airport and Road number 9 remnant museum.
Follow itinerary, direct to the coast in one and a half hour to the well-known 17th Parallel. According to the agreement of Geneva, this historical site was the border of the Communist in the North and the Non Communist in the South of Vietnam. Visit the museum, flag tower, the Ben Hai River and the Hien Luong Bridge to learn more about the special history of this land.
Continue to the famous Vinh Moc Tunnel. Local people dug in 2 years (1965 - 1967) to create the system of 1.7 km long and 10 to 23 m deep tunnel which was used as bomb shelter during the Vietnam War. The site is evidence for the heroism of the Vietnamese people.
Transfer to Hue city, come back to your hotel in the late afternoon.
