Between Vietnam and Cambodia – 25 Incredible Days

A 24-day private tour between Vietnam and Cambodia, carefully planned in the months before the trip with our contact Justin, who provided assistance throughout our journey.
We visited Hanoi, the capital, where the legend of Ho Chi Minh is felt everywhere — a city organized in its chaos, which is also its lifeblood. Then we explored Northern Vietnam, with its mountains, terraced rice fields, and encounters with local farming communities. The splendid Ha Long Bay, with its incredible limestone rocks rising from the sea, was breathtaking.
In Central Vietnam, we visited the beautiful Hue, Da Nang, and Hoi An, where we also experienced a flood but were quickly brought to safety — an incredible adventure now that we can look back safely.
We then moved on to the sprawling Saigon, a modern megacity of 15 million inhabitants and just as many motorbikes. It captures you with its contrasts — you have to experience it to believe it. The Mekong Delta is spectacular for its beauty and the diversity of encounters it offers.
From there, we traveled by river and crossed into Cambodia, stopping at a border post along the river that seemed straight out of an old movie — picturesque, with bureaucratic waits from another era.
We arrived by river in beautiful Phnom Penh, the capital, where an exceptional guide made our visit and the journey to Siem Reap a true pleasure. From there, we explored much of northern Cambodia, the area of the ancient Khmer Empire.
