Go Noi, a quiet small village, located on the bank of Thu Bon River, far from Hoi An by about 15 km had an important role during the Viet Nam – American war. There were many fierce battles and much was destroyed during the war. Most of the local people mainly depend on farming and fishing as a source of income. Some of the farm products produced year round include: Chili, corn, cabbage, sweet potato, peanuts, sesame, pumpkin……
8:00 AM: Meet tour guide at hotel then cycle to Cam Kim village. Stop to visit how to make sleeping mats, local traditional handicrafts. After that, we ride along village roads to see rice paddy field, corn field, bamboo bridge, shrimp farm, water buffalo and meet local people to get to know how they are living on. On the way, short visit a wood carving work-yard to admire the talent of craftsmen.
Arrive in Go Noi Village, you will get warmly welcomed by a local family with some tea before leisurely bike through village, stop at some families in village to experience and learn how to make some local products like: rice paper, local rice wine, sesame oil, green bean with sticky rice cake….
Lunch is served in family (or try local speciality Cau Mong barbecued veal at local restaurant - on request). Afternoon going to Cau Lau dock to get on the boat along Thu Bon river back to Hoian town. You will have nice view and take a lot of nice photos from local fishermen who are catching the fishes under sunset.
