6:00 AM: Pick up guests at Jun Villagein Lak Lake. (If guests are staying in Buon Ma Thuot, we start at 4:00 AM and travel to Lak Lake, which is 52 km southeast of Buon Ma Thuot on National Route 27 toward Dalat City.)
Lak Lake is the second-largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam, after Ba Be Lake in the northwest. Located in Dak Lak province and fed by the Krong Ana River, Lak Lake covers 5 square kilometers and is surrounded by Mnong villages, lush green mountains, and dense forests.
Journey through scenic fields to the forest, where you'll learn from a mahout about the daily activities of elephants and the customs and traditions of the Mnong hill tribe. You'll find the elephants, initially accompanied, then follow them as they walk through the forest, for an unforgettable elephant experience.
Help the mahout wash and clean the elephants. Feed the elephants with bananas and learn how to fit the seats before their day of work. Take photos with the mahout, the elephants, and the guests.
Enjoy a dugout canoe trip on the lake for an incredible experience at Jun Village.
Have breakfast and coffee. At the end of the day, we'll transfer you back to your hotel.
