Explore the historic Cu Chi Tunnels and experience the charm of the Mekong Delta, all in a single day. Dive into Vietnam's wartime history, savor a traditional lunch, and cruise through scenic rivers and villages with our experienced guides. Starting and ending in Ho Chi Minh City, this trip promises to leave you with unforgettable memories.
Our tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in downtown Ho Chi Minh City (District 1). From there, we'll head to Cu Chi, which will take approximately one and a half hours by bus.
Upon arrival in Cu Chi, you'll first watch a short introduction video about how the tunnels were constructed and how people survived in the harsh conditions of wartime. After the video, you'll have time to explore the remaining areas and tunnel systems. These include specially constructed living areas with kitchens and bedrooms, alongside military facilities such as storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers that helped tunnel inhabitants meet their basic needs.
Afterward, special tea and cassava (the guerrillas' food during the war) will be served. You'll then have some break time to relax or, for those interested, to try real shooting guns (for an additional charge).
Have lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to My Tho. Enjoy a boat trip on the Tien River, where the light breeze and the natural beauty of the four islands—Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise—will captivate you.
Cruise through the small canals by sampan, take in the beauty of the countryside, and enjoy a short bike ride around the village. This will certainly be an unforgettable experience on your Mekong Delta tour. Visit a coconut candy workshop and savor seasonal fruits and honey tea. You'll also have the chance to listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by local people.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel around 7:00 PM, concluding the trip.
