At 10:00 AM, your crew will warmly welcome you at the jetty of the Victoria Chau Doc Hotel with cold towels and a refreshing drink as you prepare to board your private Song Xanh sampan. Your leisurely cruise begins, exploring the picturesque waterways around Chau Doc and heading towards Long Xuyen. Along the way, you’ll visit a vegetable garden and travel through a narrow canal, passing by monkey bridges and peaceful villages.

Lunch will be served on board as you continue your journey to Long Xuyen. Upon arrival, visit Tiger Island (Cu Lao Ong Ho), a small island that was once home to Vietnam's second president, Ton Duc Thang. Take a stroll through the park surrounding the museum dedicated to his legacy.

As the day winds down, your final stop before sunset will be at a local Vietnamese home, offering a glimpse into everyday life in the region. Your host will welcome you warmly, and a candlelit dinner will be served in this intimate setting. Spend your first night on board the Song Xanh, peacefully anchored on the Hau River.

Breakfast is served onboard at 7:00 AM as your sampan cruises downstream. You’ll arrive in Sa Dec just in time for a leisurely stroll around this charming town. One of the highlights of your visit is the ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le, a real-life figure from the celebrated novel and film "The Lover" by Marguerite Duras. Sa Dec is a fascinating town worth exploring, as it played a significant role in the development of the Mekong Delta. It was home to large Chinese and Khmer communities, with French influences also evident in the local architecture. This rich history has resulted in a unique blend of religions coexisting harmoniously, including a Cao Dai temple, a Catholic church, a Chinese temple, and Vietnamese pagodas.

Lunch and dinner will be served onboard as you enjoy your second night aboard the Song Xanh, cruising along the Mekong River.

We begin our journey at 6:00 AM, cruising toward Cai Be. As we sail, take in the sights of daily life unfolding along the shoreline, framed by stunning landscapes, while the crew serves breakfast onboard. From the islet, enjoy a peaceful ride through narrow canals in a traditional rowing sampan. Along the way, make stops to explore some of the region's charming cottage industries, including a brick factory and local food production sites where coconut candy and puffed rice (a local version of popcorn) are made. These small, home-based businesses are a vital part of life for the river communities.

The cruise concludes at Le Longanier Restaurant, an elegant colonial-style villa nestled in a lush tropical garden by the river, surrounded by vibrant fruit plantations. Here, lunch is served, offering you a taste of Indochina’s bygone era in a truly enchanting setting.
